Pics for the wedding are up, so enjoy. Yeah, some are a little blurry. I need a zoom lens.

Solo road trip in April to Doug and Liz's wedding. I rented a car from Avis, who has very nice people and very reasonable rates (though the drop-off at the National Airport garage was a little confusing), and drove out Thursday for the bachelor party. Made it to the Indiana border in 7.5 hours, which I'm told is pretty damn good. I attribute it to no Ohio traffic and *ahem* a good tail wind.
If there's one thing I learned from this trip, it is never, ever have your bachelor party the day before the wedding. Luckily Doug's was Thursday so he had time to recover before the weddng, but the boy was hurting... In fact, don't even have it the same week...
The ceremony was beautiful and the reception was lovely. Nice touch - instead of seating people at numbered tables, we were at tables like "Babe Ruth", "Teddy Roosevelt", or "Jane Mansfield", with pics of the people serving as the markers. Very cute. (Side note, my cousin Mike had his prom two weeks later and to go with the Night at the Movies theme the tables were named such as "Raiders of the Lost Ark", "Casablanca", and - no lie - "Schindler's List". Must have been a cheery dinner at that table.)
It was great to reconnect with Doug and Bryan, and there were a lot of other great people I met that weekend.
Half of this post is to get the formatting right on the page. The other half is to wax on about my genius friend Bryan who's created the nifty little map on the right, that keeps track of your wanderings. That Ireland trip sure throws it off though - if you mouse around the eastern seaboard of the US enough you'll find some of the more mundane trips, not the jet-set lifestyle that gets me all the chicks.
Finally with the new website. Not much else going on this rainy Saturday and no one around. Crap day, all day. I feel bad for everyone graduating on the Ellipse tomorrow. Soggy ground, 55 degree weather... coldest GW graduation I can remember in 8 years. Worst of all was two years ago for my sister's at Westfield - snow and rain and wind. Ow.
