So, I sit here waiting for the Thunderbolt to strike me to get me to finish up my networking homework, thinking about the holiday weekend ahead and the long trips ahead of me. I'm training home, and I wish I could say that I'll have a lot of time to think about how things have gone lately, but unfortunately I think I'm going to be doing more homework. I always say "Trips are Good for Thinking" but I never seem to really Accomplish anything. I did, once, actually. But it turned out that I was too late. That IS a constant, anyways. Indecision reigns. Hopefully I can sort through it all soon, though.
In any event, I should crack the books. Hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday. And I know that I have plenty to be Thankful for, despite my best efforts to fuck it up sometimes.
Lonnie and Jess Palmer both thumbed their noses at the California Bar's 40% success rate, and joined the Bar yesterday. I can't even begin to imagine what that accomplishment must feel like after all that work. At least I have people to get me out of all the mayhem I have planned...
Thanks to Dan and Jenn for an excellent party last night. They made the infamous duck inside a chicken inside a turkey, with sausage stuffing. Four meats, impossible, you say? Hell no. We ate and ate. Joe made breads with his usual aplomb and roasted veggies, Lindsey had three kinds of cranberry sauce, Raoul made peanut stew which was interesting and I wish I had more. So much food. And the party room is fantastic, with a big deck, and what must be a great view of the fireworks on the Fourth.
When you're younger, there's an appeal to the wild parties we've all been to. You don't miss them now, though. It still feels like you're playing at being grown-up though. But it's fun. :)
